I had recently heard of a drain in ballarat that was old and apparently not that bad, so I collected Hippy and we went out to give it a shot. It got its name from the sheer amount of spiders that were in there.
Entrance: 1.65m
Materials: Concrete, Bluestone
Shapes: Round
The first hundred metres or so were filled with spiders and spider webs. Easily the most spiders ive ever seen in a drain. There were way less spiders when the drain eventually turned from RCP to bluestone. We were greeted with a wooden roofed overpass that goes under a road. It then changes back into a 1m RCP stoop we had to do to get to the manhole.
We were both so very chuffed to find our manhole out of this drain. It was a pure test of endurance. The last section of small ass RCP just kept continuing. I was so happy to be out and I know Hippy was too.
I will not be coming back to this one for a long time.
