Carnage, JustOne, and myself went out one day to go explore Ayyyflooded and Dead. We started with Ayyyflooded by going in the inflow by the cemetery and it was a pretty hefty stoop until it got bigger. Further upstream from the inflow the drain turns into a stoopy RCP pipe that just keeps heading north.

I had come here before with justone but we couldnt find the outfall so we decided to head to the inflow. We went in a little bit but it was way too stoopy and I was gonna be late for a dinner so we headed off before actually getting to see anything cool.

Coming here for the second time, we were determined to finish the whole drain.

There were plenty of small slides in the first half but not much else. No cool side pipes or anything just stoop. It would have been atleast a kilometre and a half before it got to standing height.

Eventually we got to this short low flat section that was about flooded to the ankle. Further from here the drain turns into more of a mushroom shape with a consistant flow of water running in the middle. It was wet but atleast we were out of the stoop.

The drain then becomes this massive 3m old panel RCP pipe which was quite a suprise.

It isnt the best photo but this is all I have for the outflow.

There are not many drains that I can say were as boring or annoying as this one. We headed in through the outfall and for some reason this drain had consistant shin high waterflow through it. It was a real workout on the legs making it the whole way to the end.

dead inflow

The first feature of this drain was a little junction room, not the most exciting but better than just RCP. Two or so kilometres up the drain we got to our next feature. A small sidepipe that leads to a real small box section. We were so happy to find this it made the whole drain worth it. But we had to continue to the inflow and we still had much pipe to walk until we got there.

We finally were getting to the end of the drain and we saw a pretty cool looking junction room and headed down the sidepipe to see if there was anything cool. It was just a shrinker and got smaller and smaller.

Heading down the main pipe again we finally saw sunlight and I have never been so happy to be out of a drain. Four and a half kilometres of almost nothing and going against the flow of some pretty hefty water tired me out like nothing else. I will not be coming back for a while.

too much water at the inflow
